Wallace Wallace cannot tell a lie.  He tells the whole truth about everything.  When this football hero reads the book Old Shep, My Pal for English class, he tells the truth:  it is the worst book he’s ever read.  Wallace’s English teacher, a diehard fan of Old Shep, My Pal, is appalled.  He decides give Wallace detention until he writes the report his beloved book deserves.  Since Wallace can’t lie, he faces an endless detention session that has him off the football team and in the school play rehearsals for what other play than Old Shep, My Pal.  Find out how Wallace’s opinions on the book, Dead Mangoes, and rollerblades change the play into something that would leave the original author spinning in his grave.
